Article 142 of the Constitution: When Can the Supreme Court Grant Relief Even When No Remedy Is Provided by Law?

Article 142 gives the Supreme Court a unique constitutional power to pass orders necessary to do “complete justice” in a case, even where ordinary law may not provide an adequate remedy.
